Shares are $1.00 each and United Farmers prefer that new shareholders buy 1000 shares. Less is acceptable, but there must be a minimum purchase of 100 shares. If you purchase 1000 shares initially, when your trading rebate is calculated at the end of the Co-operative financial year (31st August), 20% is paid cash and 80% is issued in the form of bonus shares. If you buy less than 1000 shares, the 20% portion will be issued in the form of bonus shares until you have accrued 1000 paid shares.

All new members must be approved by the Board of Directors and board meetings are held ten times per year.

Once approved, you will be sent a share statement, receipt and a United Farmers Farm File as a thank you for joining the Co-operative.

If you have any other queries regarding shares, you can contact our Orders & Share Administrator, Carly Odlum on 9430 2258 or freecall 1800 624 122.
