K+S group encompasses several independent divisions - three of interest are Fertiva GmbH, Compo GmbH & Co and KG and K+S Kali GmbH. 

Fertiva Gmbh is a division of the K+S group worldwide.  Fertiva is responsible for the worldwide marketing and sales of nitrogenous fertilisers into the agricultural market. Through the BASF Australian agent they provide UFCC the sales, marketing and technical support for Nitrogreen® and Nitrogold®.  They have partnered with UFCC in positioning these unique products into the Western Australian market.  Of particular note, is the support in establishing and developing a fit for the Nitrate based Nitrogreen® and Nitrogold®, which was recently recognised by winning the inaugural Eucalyptus Environmental Award at the Fertilizer Industry Federation of Australia 2004 conference.

K+S Kali GmbH is also a division within K+S group world wide.  They are responsible for the marketing of the mined products Potassium and Magnesium and some of the various derivations of these products.  Again through the local agent, BASF Australia, they provide UFCC with sales, marketing and technical support for our Potassium products (Muriate of Potash and Sulphate of Potash) and our combined Potassium Magnesium products (Keiserite and Potamag).  Where possible, they provide in-field support for these products assisting our staff, agents and shareholders to best understand the nutrition of these elements and how best these products can be used to provide that nutrition, especially in W.A's harsh climactic conditions.

Compo GmbH & Co KG is responsible for the worldwide marketing of specialty fertilisers into the agricultural and home garden market. Their specialty products include compound NPK products such as the new UFCC product, NPK Perfect, stabilising fertilisers, slow release fertilisers, coated specialty fertilisers and an extensive range of foliar applied and liquid fertilisers.  Compo’s range of products offers UFCC some unique nutritional options that we are currently evaluating eventually leading to expanding and augmenting UFCC's existing range of products. 

All of the products from this diverse group form part of the entire nutrition and fertiliser package that farmers require.  As such none of these groups can operate nutritionally in isolation from any other.  In fact, there are particular synergies that  can be gained by coordinating the sales, marketing and R&D of each of these groups.  BASF Australia provides this very important link, coordinating R&D efforts from BASF, K+S Group and UFCC sales and marketing and is the key link in logistics and operations support in the supply of these products.
