The original Albany Warehouse which was completed in mid-2000 was built in response to overwhelming support and the steadily increasing demands of shareholders for UFCC products and services. An upgrade of the facilities (completed in June 2002) meant that shareholders within a 250km radius of Albany could not only continue supporting UFCC but make substantial savings on their fertiliser requirements at the same time.

Albany Warehouse now provides a fully enclosed area of 75m x 85m and general work area of 33m x 75m. Incorporated in the overall plan is a new truck weighting system, an additional blending facility and a second load-out point. There is also a purpose built chemical storage area, to facilitate shareholders' every increasing demand for UFCC's range of quality farm chemicals. Because of the upgrades at Albany, shareholders can look forward to a reduced turn around time for product dispatch. The combination of the truck weighing system and increased blending capacity means that both straight and blended products can be loaded simultaneously. This creates a faster and more efficient dispatching system.

The extra storage space also means faster turnarounds with dispatch of blends, by allowing many of the fast moving blends to be pre blended and stored. The additional space also gives us the flexibility for an even more comprehensive range of products to cater for the diversity of agriculture within the Albany region and surround districts.

Next time you're Albany, why not call in and meet the team and run your eye over the greatly improved facility.
